Training & Development

Sammamish Little League recognizes the value that training can be in the development of its players, especially those focusing on the core baseball and softball skills. We are not resourced to extensively fund these type of activities but we do our best to identify those offered by local, trusted organizations and try to partner with them to offer their services at discounted rates for our members.

As we’re made aware of such opportunities, we forward that information to SLL families through our email newsletters and in postings on this site and on our Baseball and Softball pages on Facebook.

Sammamish Little League endorses the following local baseball skill development programs and clinics:

For information on individual clinics held in partnership with the league, see the sections below. Registration links accompany each clinic, or you can view all registration links on our Registration page.

Players, Coaches, and Parents

ATTENTION: COACHES & PARENTSPlease join in and learn right along with the players! Not required, but definitely encouraged.Baseball Positive simplifies and demystifies and the teaching of skills.  These classes are designed for Coaches and Parents to participate and learn “How to Teach” kids effectively, while the hands-on experience is invaluable.  The more knowledge we have in our league, the stronger the league will be.

Each participating coach and parent receives a Coaching Manual that includes all program content, including video and pictures to illustrate key points. Teaching good fundamentals to kids becomes quite elementary by following the Baseball Positive approach.

Coaches and Parents who do not have a child in the program are also welcome and invited to participate and learn the content.
