Summer Baseball

Sammamish Little League is excited to announce its

2018 Summer Baseball programs!

Summer Baseball Overview

Summer Baseball is a fun and relaxed summer program that lets kids take advantage of nicer weather and continue playing baseball during summer. For our summer baseball programs the emphasis is all about HAVING FUN.

Registration is open to Little League players who are age-eligible for the programs we offer – Little League boundaries are not enforced, so this is a great opportunity to invite your friend from Issaquah, Eastlake, or other local Little Leagues to play together.

The season will run during the month of July (no games July 4th). Teams will play 8 evening games over a four-week season. The schedule has not yet been set, but in past years, Majors and Rookie teams have played on Mon and Wed evenings and Coast teams have played Tues and Thurs evenings.

Summer Divisions

We will field Summer teams for the Majors, Coast, and Rookie divisions:

* Little League, Inc. defines league age as follows: For players born prior to Jan 1, 2006, league age is the player’s age as of Apr 30 of the calendar year of the baseball season. For players born on or after Jan 1, 2006, league age is the player’s age as of Dec 31 of the calendar year of the baseball season.

Level of play

League Age requirements are in effect for Summer programs. The table above shows which ages will play for which teams. (Please note that the Rookie level for Summer is coach pitch.) There is some overlap in the age ranges between Summer Majors and Summer Coast. When you register, you will have the option of choosing between those two programs. Feel free to choose the program you think will provide the best experience for your child. Some 10-year-olds who played Coast during the season will enjoy having the Majors experience during Summer Baseball; others will thrive more playing Coast.

If you would like to request permission for your child to play up one level, please do so during registration using a Special Request. All requests are reviewed and approved or denied by the Player Agent.

Registration

Registration fees are shown above. Fees cover the player’s uniform (shirt and cap), field rental fees, umpires, and team equipment.

Buddy Requests - We encourage buddy requests, especially for Summer ball. Please indicate the buddy request under Special Request in registrations for both players.
